Izandla Zethemba

Izandla Zethemba (Hands of Hope) is a non-profit organisation based in Tambo Village, Cape Town. It was birthed in 2000 through Khanyisa Community Church, Tambo Village, as a response to the massive impact of HIV/AIDS on the lives of people in the surrounding informal communities. Izandla Zethemba registered as a section 21 company in 2002. The communities which Izandla Zethemba serves include Tambo Village, Manenberg, KTC and Gugulethu with areas under it such as Barcelona, Kanana, Europe and Lotus. We also have clients from Phillipi and Delft attending the support group.

Izandla Zethemba's Mission:

Building Blocks Children's Home was founded in the UK by South Africans who are passionate about helping the children of South Africa break through poverty and disadvantage. The initiative has sprung from glaring evidence of the increasing number of homeless children in South Africa, some of whom have contracted AIDS and others that are healthy but have been abandoned.

We would like to say a big Thank You to all our funders, donors, partner churches both local and international, also our friends. Most importantly we would like to thank our volunteers for their time and commitment we wouldn’t be able to do this work without them.
